Loring Danforth

Loring M. Danforth is a professor of anthropology and epistemology, and an author working at Bates College in the United States.

Danforth received a B.A. from Amherst College in 1971 and a M.A. and Ph.D. from Princeton University in 1974 and 1978. He has written many books and articles on Macedonia, Greece, Australia and nationalism. Danforth won a National Endowment for the Humanities Fellowship for College Teachers and Independent Scholars, and was a recipient of a Fulbright Fellowship. His books have been featured on the CHOICE lists. Danforth has taught at Bates College since 1978.
